A BRIEF HISTORY

Originally hailing from a small town in Missouri, I've spent nearly four decades in Dallas. My first stop led me to a master's degree from the University of Arkansas, after which I ventured to Dallas and embarked on a career with KPMG, where I spent nearly five years building experience in accounting for business. My CPA license is in Texas, active now for since 1983.

 Throughout my professional life, I've predominantly served in back-office controller roles, honing my expertise in managing internal accounting functions. I’ve done and seen it all. 

I am an expert in Microsoft Excel. Most recently I built a standalone reporting package for a small company. It’s a full-blown reporting package – balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement. I can build this kind of thing for you too. It reads from left to right, so all twelve months of data is stacked side by side. I would use the Quickbooks Online reports and then add them to the Excel file. Once setup it works like a charm. I use no VBA and in the case of the client referred to, I had 60 months of data in his file. So I nearly had the history of his business performance in one file at less than 5mb.

Today I work solely in Quickbooks Online to serve customers who need help with their sometimes-tricky Quickbooks Online file. My big-company experience as a controller, analyst, and CPA - I bring that to bear on Quickbooks Online. It’s a marriage of experience and small business software. Like most computer programs, Quickbooks Online will do about whatever you can imagine. It’s the person behind the keyboard that makes the difference.
